Day 13 (1-7-12)
LOOOOONNNGGG hiatus over. It was too long. So long, it had me sweating about my return. I was afraid Shi Fu was going to see how I haven’t practiced much and totally berate me for it. I was also thinking…. do I even want to continue kung fu? It’s a huge commitment, expensive, and can even be anxiety provoking. Long story short, I was having doubts. But then class was so great!! We practiced the first jiben drills as a group, getting a pretty good workout for our muscles and memories. The second half of class we separated into groups and practiced the fighting aplications. I think I am finally getting those down. I am really looking forward to starting the unicorn fighting applications… maybe at tonight’s class!
Thank you so much for following and reading. You guys are part of the inspiration motivating me to keep it up, guard and all!

Kung Fu Granny From China

urban-eskrimador:

A 82-year-old granny from China is in top form thanks to the unique fitness program which includes the elements of yoga, martial arts and breathing exercises. The old lady says that she is so elastic thanks to discipline and daily three-hour training in the park near the building where she lives in Beijing.
